Who we are

The UC is a group of undergraduate students elected to represent students from all of Harvard’s many houses and yards.  We bring all of our varied interests to the UC to create a council representative of Harvard’s incredibly diverse student body.

What we do

We listen to students and address their concerns. We connect the gap between students and administrators.  We support student groups and sponsor house life.  We encourage events on campus and improve student life. We are here for the students. We are here for you. We are the UC.

Summer Playbook Returns!

Ahh yes summer is a world of opportunity, we’ve heard the cliche. But this time, we literally mean it. With The Summer Playbook you can find out who’s in your neck of the woods, city, town, or village–all within the Ivies. And yes, dreams really do come true: you can travel for 32 days in Europe spending just $54 on lodging with the Playbook.

Dean Khurana on Humans of New York

Did you happen to catch our dean on Humans of New York?

Here’s what he said:

“It’s difficult to stay on top for 40 years,” he explained. “Not to mention 400 years. For an organization to remain relevant, there has to be a certain sense of restlessness. For us, that means continuing to grow the circle of ‘who we are.’ Back in the 1700’s, Harvard meant rich white men of a certain religion. Since then, we’ve expanded to include women, different religions, and different ethnicities. If we want to stay relevant and real, we’ve got to continue to grow that circle. If our definition of excellence becomes a zip code or a test score, we’ll become little more than a museum or tourist destination.”
