    Submit a referendum question for the Spring 2013 ballot!

    Be a part of the process that brought you the Social Choice Fund and helped other student movements (like Divest Harvard and “Our Harvard Can Do Better“) gain traction with administrators.

    The UC wants to know which issues students care about most, but we need your help! To submit your question…
    • Email Rules Chair Chris Smiles (csmiles@college.harvard.edu) with a preliminary version of your question
    • Create a Google form to collect signatures (first name, last name, @college email) from Harvard undergraduates
    • Questions must be neutrally worded, have a “Yes or No” answer, and be included at the top of the Google form
    • To be included on the ballot, 10% of the student body must sign the petition indicating support for the question

    Signatures are (tentatively) due by Monday, April 8th. We will be updating this page with additional information on the newly revised referenda procedures, including a more detailed timeline. If you have any questions/concerns about this process, please feel free to reach out to our Rules Chair (Chris Smiles) at csmiles@college.harvard.edu. Thanks!

    We have an exciting new iniative to share with you!

    Our Harvard experience is book-ended by freshman week our freshman year and senior week our senior spring, with little to celebrate our class in between.

    Beginning tomorrow, we’re launching a pilot for class-wide programming for the Class of 2014. We’ve been working hard on this programming, and we look forward to see you at some of these events. Junior parents are welcome to come along!

     

    WEDNESDAY 2/27

     

    2014 STATS Ongoing. Online. 
    Take the fun UC-sponsored junior class survey and find out what makes the Class of 2014 tick! We’ll compile the results and present them later this week.

    2014 SKATES 6-9pm. Harvard Skate on the Plaza, Science Center. 
    Hit the skating rink before it’s too late! The first 100 cups of hot chocolate for juniors are on us. Skate rentals will be discounted to $4, so bring your friends!

    2014 CLIMBS 5-11pm. Lowell House Rock Climbing Wall, Basement of A Entryway.
    Never been to Harvard’s climbing wall? Check it out for free with friends and other members of 2014! Also feel free to drop by anytime this week — they’ll be expecting juniors!

Over 150 students came to show their support, discuss concerns, and develop a list of asks. With no clear organizer, the effectiveness of this rally exposed the widely-recognized need for mental health reform.

    Shout out to The Harvard Crimson for their commitment to publishing these stories. The campus is talking, and we’ll follow through with action.
