The responsibility of the Finance Committee (FiCom) is to foster and coordinate student activities by way of supporting student organizations that promote student interaction and provide meaningful services to the Harvard undergraduate community.
FiCom manages the UC Grants Fund, which provides over $400,000 to student groups every year. In Spring 2006, FiCom dramatically changed its procedures for awarding grants to provide more flexibility for applicants through a rolling deadline, to allow for more funding for more informal activities, and to reward organizations who produce more events for the community. In Fall 2006, FiCom began to use the Common Grant Application, a UC initiative allowing student groups to use a single form to apply to several grants simultaneously.
