Ashley is a junior in Mather House hailing from sunny Orange County, California. As a member of the Rules and Student Relations Committees, Ashley is interested in making the UC's constitution and bylaws more comprehensive and effective, as well as increasing communication between the UC and Harvard community we represent. In addition to her UC commitments, Ashley plays viola in the Harvard-Radcliffe Orchestra, is a Peer Advisor in Pennypacker, spent the last summer working at the White House, and hopes to work for the Obama administration after she graduates. She likes Mad Men, short stories, hilarity, agency, and beautiful things. Eric is a junior studying computer science. He's excited for his third year on the UC, where he'll be working on advocacy projects as a Vice Chair of the Student Life Committee and ensuring the UC works efficiently as Chair of the Rules Committee. His priorities for the year are working on expanding J-Term options for January 2011, continuing improvements to the Ad Board, and revitalizing the College's online events calendar to make it easier to find out what's happening on campus. Outside the UC, Eric is active with the Harvard College Democrats.. Joseph is a sophomore from Mather house working on education-related issues regarding undergraduates. He aims to make the UC more transparent and to create an effective council that advocates student voices. As chair of the Education Committee, he hopes to make progress with extending the add/drop deadline for classes, freshmen advising, J-Term, and much more. Outside the UC, he is active with the Korean Association and HPAIR. Joseph is more or less interested in politics, good/bad movies, and delicious food. Things that make him happy are: finding random money in his pockets, getting mail addressed to him, thinking it’s Thursday but realizing it’s actually Friday, not waiting for the elevator, dreaming, and getting text messages in class.
